Death of Father | 4 August 1941 | Annandale, NSW, Australia; OBITUARY Mr. Joseph Young A former resident of Forbes, in the person of Mr. Joseph P. Young, passed away at his home in Annandale yesterday morning, aged about 78 years. He was a prominent cricketer here in the old days, and after leaving Forbes about 20 years ago was employed for a number of years as a carpenter on the Water and Sewerage Board, up till the time of his retirement. His mother held the license of the Bandon Hotel in the days of the bushrangers, and afterwards she occupied the Myall Park property at Bogan Gate, later acquired by Mr. D. T. Herbert. A brother, Mr. Edwin Young, died in Sydney a few months ago. Deceased leaves a widow (nee Miss Nellie Kinsella) and a family of three sons.;Principal=Joseph Peter Young3 |
