(Beneficiary) Probate | 19 December 1795 | St Enoder, Cornwall;Sole Executor Emanuel Bassett January 5, 1786 In the Name of God Amen, I Richard Bassett of the Parish of St Enoder in the County of Cornwall (Yeoman) being in Perfect Health and of Sound and Disposing Mind, Memory and Understanding thanks be to Almighty God for the Same and Calling to Mind the Frailty and Mortality of my Nature and Knowing it is appointed for all Men once to Die, In Order make Quietness among my Family after my Decease, Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in the Manner and Form following, And Bequeath & Commit my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it, Hoping at the General Resurrection thro the Merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour to rise again and to have Remission of my Sins thro His Blood. And my Body to the Earth, to have Christian Burial at the Expense and Discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as touching my Wordly Goods wherewith the Lord in his Mercy hath Pleased to Bless me with. I Give, Devise and Bequeath of the Same in the following Manner and Form. Imprimis, First I Give and Bequeath to my Sons, Richard and John Bassett, One Shilling to Each of them, to be paid to them within a Month after my Decease. Also I Give and Bequeath to my Son Thomas Bassett one Guinea to be Paid to him within Twelve Months after my Decease, Also I Give and Bequeath unto Each and Every one of my Grand-Children five shillings apiece, And the Same to be Paid within Twelve Months after my Decease. And all and Singular my other Goods and Chattells, Ready Money, Plate, Bills, Bonds, Notes or Accompts, or of any other Goods Moveable or Immoveable, Quick and Dead, I Give, Devise, Dispose of the Same unto my Son Emanuell Bassett and him Do I make Constitute, Ordain and Appoint for to be my Sole Executor of this My Last Will and Testament. And I Do hereby Revoke and Disannull all other Former Wills, Legacies and Bequests at any time before made, Willed, or Bequeathed, Rattifying and Confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereto Set my Hand, and seal, this fifth Day of January in the Year of our Lord God one Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six. 1786. Will* | 9 November 1832 | St Enoder, Cornwall;In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Bassett of Trefullock in the Parish of St Enoder in the County of Cornwall being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory do (to avoid controversy after my daeth) make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First i give and bequeath to Elizabeth Staple the sum of Seven pounds to be paid at the end of 12 months after my decease Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Symonds the Wife of William Symonds the Sum of Forty Pounds to be paid by my executors at the end of twelve months after my decease Also I give and bequeath to my two sons John and Thomas Bassett all my real and personal property whom I also appoint joint Executors to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills made by me In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this ninth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty two The mark of the said Thomas Bassett Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Thomas Bassett to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto inscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of each other and the Testator Witnesses Benjamin Adams William Bassett The mark of Mary Bassett5 |
