News-Arct | 2 August 1917 | "The Western Champion", Parkes, NSW, Australia; TRUNDLE NOTES. (From our own Correspondent.) DEATH OF MRS. O'BRYAN. Mrs. Bert O'Bryan, a well-known resident of the Trundle district for some time, who with her husband and family removed from the old home near Gillenbine to Trundle some weeks ago, was suddenly taken ill last week. It was thought advisable later to remove her to Parkes where she underwent an operation. She died on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The body was brought to Trundle on Thursday and interred in the Anglican portion of the local cemetery, the Rev. C. S. Robertson officiating at the graveside. There were a large number of people present, a sign of the respect in which she was held in the district, and the sympathy to the husband and family who mourn her loss.10 |
