News-Arct* | 1 June 1922 | "The Western Champion", Parkes, NSW, Australia; GAULT-SIMMONS. On the 17th ult., at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Parkes, Kenneth McKnight Gault, sixth son of the late Hugh Gault, of Bimbi, Grenfell, and Mrs. Gault, was united in the bonds of matrimony with Mary Lena, only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. Llewellyn Simmons, of Trundle, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. Mr. Mailler. The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. George Sim mons, and was attended by her cou sin, Miss Doris Pike, as bridesmaid. The best man was Mr. Oswald Gault, brother of the bridegroom. The bride wore a dress of white crepe-de-chine and georgette, with bead trimming, hand made flowers and silk embroid ery, with the customary wreath and veil ,and a gold bracelet watch (the gift of the bridegroom) and carried a shower bouquet of carnations, roses and maiden hair fern. The brides maid's dress was a mastic crepe-de chine, with black hat. She carried a bouquet of Iceland poppies and wore a flexible gold bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to the Royal Hotel, where Mrs. George Simmons presided at the reception. The newly wedded couple, who were the recipi ents of numerous and valuable pres ents, including a number of cheques, left by the afternoon train for Sydney on their honeymoon trip, the bride's travelling dress being a dove grey frock, with oriental embroidery.
